I always check my receipt because it is often the case they over charge for something. I thimk they overcharge slightly more than Market Basket does, but MB doesn't stock their shelves very carefully, so I'm overcharged there too.
I always shop the sales, so prices here are good, and comparable to the other grocery stores (and they use the same sales flyers that Concord does, so I'm not sure why other think the prices are higher here). If you don't pay attention to sales, you pay more, but that's how it is for all stores.
Way overpriced because they know the next closest grocery store is 30 minutes in any direction. Produce is over-ripe and soggy. And the bathrooms are disgusting. (Feces on the floor)
It's the only store in town and they know it! I've purchased broccoli full of bugs...returned, they don't know snow peas from sugar snaps the produce dept shelves are filthy and the meat dept generally smells like rotted road kill. The manager needs to wise up or be fired, there is NO EXCUSE to run a business in this manner! It would be a GREAT place to open a REAL grocery that takes pride in their product. 8/28/17 I went to this dump again to purchase a can of crushed tomatoes, no prob,wrong...the expiration date on it was December 2016 REALLY? As was every can of that brand on the shelf. Does the manager not check his stockers work? Maybe he should
This is without a doubt THE WORST Shaws on the planet! The ENTIRE store is re-arranged by the day it seems. Looking for coffee? Try the meat dept! This "manager" couldn't manage a subscription never mind a 10,000sq ft store!! Maybe he can be put on cart detail until he's proven he can manage those . Although as I write I can picture the cart corral in the Sylvania parking lot already!! Good luck if you are going to this one , I'm done aggravating myself. Need moldy bread ? This is the place for you! :) The one star is only because they wont let me post without it!!!!!!!!!!!!
Expensive but great quality, so you get what you paid for. Self check outs great. Organization of the stores a bit off and not so easy to navigate until you learn that specific place but had an over all okay experience!
